MEMBERTOU, N.S. — Membertou First Nation played host to a mixed fastpitch tournament this weekend that brought together players and teams from across Mi’kma’ki.
Teams came in from Wagmatcook, Potlotek, We’koqma’q, Eskasoni and Sipekne’katik First Nations, with one player joining in from Elsipogtog First Nation. For coordinator and announcer Daniel Paul, that’s what softball is about.
“I started when I was 17. I’ve seen a lot of ball in my lifetime. It’s awesome. You make a lot of friends,” said Paul. Full story here.
