MEMBERTOU, N.S. — This week the federal government announced the Shubenacadie residential school site would be designated a historic site, something residential school survivor Clark Paul was glad to see.
He hopes Canadians never forget the dark legacy of the schools.
“It’s important for them to know what we went through as a people because their government did try to erase our culture,” said the 74-year-old Membertou man. Full story here.
